If you’re a fan of The Reno Show you’re probably wondering where Podcast Six is … well lets just say it wasn’t very good, but we felt it was good enough to post someday when we’re famous and people want to hear us be miserable and boo-hoo-y. Seven is good, so listen and enjoy and feel free to comment; we love comments. Again you can hit the link on this page, or hit the link on the right to download it off itunes. If you like me (eric), then feel free to download some unpublishednotdead podcasts, The Reno Show is gonna be rated PG-13 for the duration, but if you want something a little more NC-17 my podcast is the one that’s going to remain true to that … thanks again for everyone’s support.

So all the ducks were in a row, and the mountains collided and time and space had been opened for me (AGAIN), and here I sit with something profound and noteworthy to say about being a writer, and how it encompasses my soul and blah, blah, BLAH! No matter how third grade it sounds, I actually have a best friend. I’m not sure he’d take a bullet for me, but I assure you I’d take one for him. I think that Read the rest of this entry »

It’s up … it’s a bit weird to have done this podcast this week being that I can’t see … a little blind, so no transcribed material this week, just me and a mic with no net. I talk about the shit I’ve gone through to be a writer, and I give Renee a little run through the ringer (although more to make her respond than anything) As my podcasts get more real they get harder to do, and I’m sorry that I do more podcasts than blogs, but when I started off this journey that is what i wanted to happen … but I’ll get back to more blogs, trust me. Again, as always, you can hit the link on the bottom of the page, or download it off itunes using the link at the right of the screen …

There just hasn’t been enough short stories in this thing lately and I warn you right now, this isn’t my strongest story, but I love it.

When Renee first approached me to guest host an edition of UnpublishedNotDead I have to admit I was flattered. I mean, this was what this website was all about to begin with; sharing our triumphs and frustrations of being unpublished (blah blah blah). It didn’t take long, however, for fear to show its ugly but familiar head. I started to think what would happen if she totally sucked?! I mean I couldn’t do that to my loyal fans and unpublishednotdead-ers, could I? How on earth would I tell her that it was awful? She later sent me this thoughtful email saying I could back out at any time, but how passive aggressive was that? So I love Renee, and I’ve mentioned her several times in my podcast, and if you look to the right of this blur, you’ll see the link to her blog (that I’ve never been able to comment on for some reason) so I was optimistic that she was going to be brilliant, and she did not disappoint! Her podcast was exactly what I thought it would be, thoughtful, and insightful, and kind of cute. And although this is nothing like one of my podcasts, it is … and that’s the point of all this … it is the same because all writers are the same on a very basic level, we have this weird need to be heard … and now when you hit the link on the bottom of this entry (or hit the link on the right to hear her on wonderful itunes, which I recommend since no one has luck with the bottom link) Renee will be heard, hopefully not for the last time. Her voice is strong and sincere, and it is why I dig her … and now you will dig her too.

This is the fifth Reno show, and without giving too much away, we talk about those annoying little construction paper clover whores at stores for MDA, the Reno City Council approving funds for Arttown.
