Folks, it’s been a long time and the longest continual thing I’ve ever done, but here it is, this IS PODCAST 50!!!!!!  That may seem like a small number to you guys, but think about it from my vantage point.  It’s 50 hours of my life that are taped and documented … it’s a 50 hour time capsule of my life, and it’s important in so many ways I can’t describe to you because it’ll make me look like a pussy.

THIS IS PODCAST 50!!!  I think it’s fitting that it’s with Renee.  I love doing the Podcast with Joanna and Tacie, and Jeremy, but this is UnpublishedNotDead, and it started off as a podcast about writing, so it’s apropos that this huge podcast be done with Renee, my fellow writer and friend.  We really tried to disagree in this podcast, but I’m not sure we did.  At one point Renee references a YouTube video.  Those underlined words are obviously the link for it.  We actually did pick up where we left off with bullying.  We talk about Renee’s voice work, which if you look to the right of this message, you’ll see a link to her blog, which will link you to ALL of her work.  I suggest all of you check it out.  I also suggest you check out her book, Dreaming of Deliverance, which you can buy on Amazon by clicking the title link (you just read).

Okay I know it’s been a long time, and I know I owe each and every one of my loyal listeners as to why I haven’t been on lately, but guess what?!  I just don’t have the energy to do it right now.  I do go into it during this podcast, this go around .. With Renee!  Enjoy.

Back in the original days of this podcast I used to have a lot of control over the comments for this podcast.  As it progressed, over the last four years, a lot of you have commented so much I no longer have the option of moderating them.  I used to edit out comments that were foul and awful so that my friends who do this podcast won’t be inhibited to do it.  I got a lot of shit from Renee for doing that, and so I have kept a hands-off approach.  I just want everyone to know, this is MY podcast, and if you want to say ANYTHING about me, please do so; I have a thick skin and I put myself out there for this very reason.  I have learned so much from the positive comments and even more from the negative ones.

Can I ask one favor, for which I won’t be able to do anything about?  When I podcast with a friend, can you please keep it to yourself things that don’t sit right with you?  I’m sure Renee comes on this site from time to time, and she will chime in with her views (which will probably be she’s fair game), but as for Jeremy, Joanna, and Tacie and anyone else who contributes to my podcast, can you please be kind?  I had to delete a comment the other day, and it killed me!

Now in summary, with me, shoot, aim, kill … I don’t care.  I’m here for the long haul and I want your feedback, but my friends, please just remember they’re just having a drink and talking into a mic for an hour with a friend!  Take that into account when making any comments please!

Well Joanna is back, and she’s brought her daughter along for the ride.  Now I almost wasn’t going to publish this podcast, because to be frank, I always feel a little guilty that the sound is off, and this certainly is.  The mic that we use during the podast is a headset mic, so it works perfect if you’re wearing it, but Joanna and Kai were sharing it, and I think the sound is a bit off because of it.  I listened to this podcast, and I have to be honest, it’s rough, but it’s fresh, and fun to listen to.  We wanted to dive into what kids liked and didn’t like but in the end, we ended up with Joanna on the couch talking about why she hated Christmas and all holidays.  We find out if girls really like Zac Effron, and One Direction, and it’s just a good time.  If you want to comment please do.  Thanks for listening.

The “Mal-Cast” didn’t work out to well, but just for you guys, my loyal listeners … I have managed to get Renee to do another podcast (and by managed, she put it together, edited, and put the ENTIRE thing together).  We had a list of topics to talk about, and I’m talking MAJOR show prep.  Renee was bringing Health Care to the table, and I had a multitude of other topics on cue, but we ended up talking about gay marriage, education, teachers, and the 80’s.  This is by far the BEST podcast we’ve done.  I’m seriously thinking we’re getting into the groove of the podcast,.  Thanks for listening, and I hope I’ll get some links up soon of things we mentioned.

Well, as well as an impending Renee-Cast coming soon, my friend Mal and I have decided to do a podcast about being single.  We are both what you can call “professional singles” being that we have both been single FOREVER.  Listeners of this podcast know all about me, but Mal is one of my “old-school” friends who has been my friend for 25+ years, so you know that we know each-other’s … well lets just say we’re out of punches to pull; we’ve tired of them long ago.  If you have any questions about being single … post them below, and listen for the podcast early next week.  The Renee-cast … SOON I promise, and Joanna can kiss my ass, because she flaked on me last weekend (although I say that lovingly since I know the fan base she’s got out there will kill me).

Well evidently the same problems which follow Joanna and me around also plague Renee and I … SOUND!  I’m hopeful the content is good this time around, but both of us lost track several times during the podcast and to be honest, I’m not sure how clever we were!  We did talk about Energy, and conservation.  We also talked a bit AROUND writing, and other stuff that may or not made it to the podcast!  Have fun, please comment, and enjoy!
